I just want to say hello to you guys, since this is my first post. So hello :)

Lets get to the point now, i have a friend got his PC to die, so he asked to pick some parts for him for a very low budget (250 euro, that is around 335 USD)

He would use it for games like FIFA 14/15, Europa Universalis,Tropico on 720p.Maybe he will try some other more demanding games but on medium would be really nice.

Well these are my parts that i picked and i was hoping should i go with something else or is this good. He needs CPU, Motherboard and memory. I was hoping he can use his old power suply and HD.

For CPU: AMD A10-6800K 4.1GHz
for Motherboard: MSI FM2-A75MA-E35 Micro ATX FM2
and for RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133

I read that faster memory with APU is very good thing so i was going for that 2133.

I hope some of you can help me. I would be glad to hear from all of you what shold i do and what parts to pick.

Sorry for my bad english, and thank you all in advance!

Better for the money. The difference between 5800K and 6800K is 10% clock speed.

I fixed the budget and game settings information (250euro and 720p on medium for not demanding games)

Thank you for pointing that out :)

This, for gaming would be miles better...a cheap graphics card like the R9 260X is much better at running games than even the fastest APU, and the 750K is a good budget gaming CPU that run any modern games well.

With that combo you can run much more demanding games at better settings and framerates, this could even render many games at 1080P very well:

Only issue with that is by using the german pc part picker for a rough cost in euros the RAM and board are not available :(

and by choosing equivalent parts it's almost 300EUR which is out of budget.

@Ricma357 as parts don't scale very well between currency, I've use german prices and get this:

CPU: AMD A10-7850K 3.7GHz Quad-Core Processor  (€158.39 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Motherboard: ASRock FM2A55M-VG3+ Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard  (€36.14 @ Amazon Deutschland)
Memory: GeIL EVO POTENZA 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-2133 Memory  (€74.90 @ Caseking)
Total: €269.43
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

?? ...if still over budget i'd get a single 4GB RAM stick, it's enough even for modern games, but for €275 you still get a very nice one with 8GB:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD Athlon X4 750K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor  (€61.90 @ Caseking)

Motherboard: ASRock FM2A55M-VG3+ Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard  (€36.14 @ Amazon Deutschland)

Memory: Kingston Black Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory  (€66.25 @ Amazon Deutschland)

Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon R7 260X 1GB Video Card  (€110.90 @ Amazon Deutschland)

Total: €275.19

well I opted for the slightly cheaper apu route, where dual channel bandwidth would be important to the gpu.

we really need op to tell us where he's ordering from ideally to give an accurate build

Thank you both for your responses. But could i go with the APU now and maybe in about 2-3 months get a GPU from R7 series like 250 or something like that and crossfire it ?

i think you can crossfire the R7 250 with the 7850K APU but even then the performances will not be as good as a 260X GPU and you'll have to buy faster more expensive RAM where as with the GPU (260X) 1333MHZ is way enough for the CPU.

I presented him both "versions". I was looking if i go with faster RAM (apu version) i will need to change motherboard to the one that supports it like Asus A55BM-E [link]

I checked the prices in my country and they round up around 290euros so i hope it will be all ok.

Thank you both for helping me out!
