Laptop size

Mo5

Later this year I'm going to college (programming) and I need a laptop. I don't want something too bulky. Do you think the 10" Asus T100TA is enough or should I get something bigger. As a student my budget isn't too big.

I find the 11" MBA ok at best for most things, and an absolute 'nope' for multitasking.

13" and up would be better. Budget? If it's low, a Chromebook might suit you well.

Ideal size for me in a laptop is 13" or 14". 15 is just too big to carry around, and the weight increase from 14" to 15" is much more then it should be.

@Mo5

I agree with @Swndlr here, I would not go any smaller than 13 inches for daily usage. Personally, I would stay at th 15 inch level (to get full keyboard with numpad and decent hardware).

if i were you i would try and find an older macbook (maybe like the 2012 model) just because i loved the way macs performed for work and internet and everything, but with that said, idk if you like apple or not so i cant speak for you here :P i just find that for the price of an older macbook, theyd be the most reliable.

I'd rather avoid going to the used market - don't have good experiences with old batteries.

If you are on the budget this is probably the best multimedia laptop you can find, it has amazing ips panel for the price and is incredibly light, 5hr battery life is a nice bonus.

Yes, but I don't really like Apple... Is there anything that's thin and light but doesn't cost 1200 (ultrabook prices)

I might be able to squeeze in the Acer Aspire V5-573G... Acer claims it's thin (roughly an inch/21mm) which should be thin enough :)
