So I've watched a lot of videos, read a lot of articles, and now I'm coming to the place where people know to get some feedback.

I've got my tax return coming in and looking to build a new rig. I want to get something smaller and am looking at the Aerocool Dead Silence. I also plan on putting a beast of a machine in it (within reason some of you go crazy).
Right now I'm looking at an i7 4790 and GTX 780Ti I don't plan to overclock right away, and I game primarily. Watercooling vs Air is purely a cosmetic choice, but it is a micro atx case so room is limited.

The biggest choice is an Aircooled gigabyte gtx 780 or the EVGA hydro cooled card, and as this will be my first time watercooling I'm mainly looking for information regarding keeping the computer as cool as possible and quiet as possible.
The corsair hydro series h100i fits in the roof of the Aerocool case.

Questions like: Would the h100i cool the GPU and CPU adequately?
If not, would air cooling the CPU be better and Watercooling the GPU?

I'm not in a rush to get anything, so I have time to get advice from the experts (you guys).

Much appreciated,

griddark.

H100i is a closed loop (not expandable) cooler. You'd want something like the H220/320/X for expandability.

Case: Corsair 4000D Airflow; Motherboard: MSI ZZ490 Gaming Edge; CPU: i7 10700K @ 5.1GHz; Cooler: Noctua NHD15S Chromax; RAM: Corsair LPX DDR4 32GB 3200MHz; Graphics Card: Asus RTX 3080 TUF; Power: EVGA SuperNova 750G2; Storage: 2 x Seagate Barracuda 1TB; Crucial M500 240GB & MX100 512GB; Keyboard: Logitech G710+; Mouse: Logitech G502; Headphones / Amp: HiFiMan Sundara Mayflower Objective 2; Monitor: Asus VG27AQ

The GPU kicks out more heat than the CPU, but it's also harder to do watercooling on it. AIO water coolers for CPUs are easy to find and even easier to install, but afaik (I'm not into watercooling myself) it is not as easy as simply slapping an H100i onto the waterblock of a GPU. Cards like the EVGA hydro copper are meant to be used in a custom loop.

I'm no expert in watercooling solutions but I may give you one or two advices:

First of all, the Corsair H100i only supports CPU cooling because it is a pre-filled and sealed setup. If you REALLY want to watercool your components then you need CPU and GPU blocks (if you buy the EVGA hydro series that won't be an issue at least for the GPU), tubing, pump, reservoir, radiator(s) and fans.
Taking this into account, it is a lot to fit in that tiny case, not impossible but very difficult, specially if it your first watercooled setup.

I suggest buying the H100i and leaving your GPU as it is. Saves you money, space, work and possible disasters.

P.D. Forgive my not so good grammar/spelling, I'm not a native english speaker :P
