New cable - New Problems

So I newly bought myself a new cable to my monitor to switch out the old VGA cable (with a 18+5 DVI-I Cable). So when I first plug it in after switching the cables, it sets itself into the correct resolution of my monitor (1600x1200) but everything is stretched out if thats understandable. And when i replug it, everything seems fine.

 

So after a while I turn off my computer and goes to sleep, the next day when I turn on the computer with the same cable in my monitor, nothing happens before the windows home screen shows up. My monitor does not flash bios either.

 

I have searched around and found out that my monitor needs to set itself into 640x480 (60hz) during boot, but apperantly it doesn't want to... btw everything works fine with my VGA Cable... ;(

Please help me, I'm getting quite frustrated.

Because the quality and the length of the VGA cable f*cking sucked tbh. The screen was all blury, now its more clear and alot better to look at.

Then you need to buy a shielded VGA cable.

DVI is still giving the exact same analogue signal, but you probably bought a high quality cable that doesn't mess up the image. But now it is confusing your monitor. Just buy a proper quality VGA cable and you will be fine.

Well, the cable that I bought has one end that is VGA and one end that is DVI-I (18+5 pins) does that say you anything? Because I really dont want to buy another cable..

This is the kind of cable that I already have as VGA, but it still sucks
