3570k to the limit!

odrusso
If you want to squeeze out every drop of power from a 3570k, use water cooling, not air.
For the amount of money you're gonna drop on a high end air cooler, like a Noctua NH-D14 for $80 - $90, you could get a closed loop water cooling system.

I have the same mobo, and sadly you can only set the base clock with the gigabyte UEFI, I was only able to get 4200MHz out of my 3570k (42 clock setting in mobo bios). I have a Coolermaster Hyper Evo 212+ .Thing is colossal and you need to make sure it has clearance in your chassis. However its a top performing Air cooler for about 35-40$. Next step after is water cooling.

In order to truly squeeze "every last MHz" out of your CPU, get a new mobo, with that mobo you can't overclock really past 4400MHz
