So it's not worth to buy the better, newer, quieter, cooler for just the 3$ increase?! Sir, unless I was the most stingy, selfish, money-hungry person in the country, I would consider your comment. But in this case, in which I have none of those characteristics, please step aside.

i saw the 212x at 80 and and the 212 evo at 30

212 Evo is a little beast of a cooler.Great Bang for the buck.

Both are almost identical in performance,with a slight edge going to the Evo as it has more contact area on the base.... thus promoting better thermal transfer by a slight margin.
