Illustrator problems...

When ever I try to open Illustrator, it shows the splash screen, opens up, then closes, I really like Illustrator and i have tried everything, re installing, deleting things etc but none of them work, I use an Acer 5750G laptop with Windows 7 64 bit; it used to run like clockwork but now it wont even open.
