I found an old 9800 and 8600 and i was wondering if either would work as a physx card? (I know nothing about physx....)  :P

and nVidia newest driver disable the feature when it detects a AMD gpu

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Not with the newer drivers (since you have an AMD card) but the would make your framerates tank since they will not be able to keep up to the 290's processing abilities.
