Bios not at 1080p

I just purchased the Asus VS248H-P and the bios screen is not showing at 1080p. I had an old HP Monitor running at 1600 x 900 and upgraded to the Asus monitor. The bios screen is showing black bars on every side of the screen but Windows 7 displays at 1080p just fine. The motherboard I'm using is the MSI Z77A-G-45. Any suggestions to help me fix this issue will be appreciated.

On my 1080p monitor, the BIOS doesn't run at 1080p either. I believe it's just how the BIOS was made

Most motherboards aren't optimised to run at 1080P in the BIOS, simple as that.

Thanks for the intel. I thought it had something to do with my previous configuration.

Most motherboards aren't optimised to run at 1080P in the BIOS, simple as that.

This is my first 1080p monitor. If that's true then thank you for telling me.

Most (if not all) bios are low resolution.
