It doesn't matter really, as long as both ends are the same.

 

The standard is to use 568B in most applications.

I think I've read somewhere that B is an European standard. I don't know about the U.S. though.

Just use B. It'll work just fine for you.

Doesn't matter whether you use T568A, or T568B. B is used to be directly compatible (with wiring pairs lined up) with older Teleco equipment, however, it doesn't matter which you use, so long as use the same on both ends. Most networking devices nowadays support Auto-MDIX.
