I'm looking for a graphics card, I am planning to use an Intel i5-4690k with an Asus Z97-A,

the size of the card doesn't matter, I'll choose a case after the the card. I was planning on using

Sapphire Radeon TRI-X R9 290 4GB OC but I am going to develop a couple of games with my friend and he's on nvidia. I am planning to spend around 480$, I am also going to game quite alot and animate abit on it. I live in Sweden but there's no problem ordering from the rest of europe. If it's really necessary I can order it from the US. I am going to build the rest of the system around the graphics card. I would love to get some help.  :D

It's a shame that you have to work around your friend's Nvidia rig, because at your current budget an AMD card is going to be much better when it comes to gaming performance for the price. Nvidia costs quite the premium for better cards.

If you can, try to work your budget around putting more money towards the GPU so you can get a good Nvidia card. That way your game development will go smoothly. (But also it wouldn't hurt to have an AMD rig on hand for testing. No point in releasing something that simply crashes when it sees an AMD CPU or GPU.)

Git Gud.

With an GTX 780 would an Fractal Design R4 Windowed be good with it or is there a better option, I'd like to have it windowed

Yeah but you would want to get a reference model 780 that has the GEFORCE GTX lights on it, but the cooler isnt the best mate

You could probably buy a decent 780 for that price. Maybe a good one used.

After Mail-In-Rebate it's 479.99$

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Would it work with an Intel i5-4690k 3,5Ghz and overclock it?

yeah it will do mate, as long as you find a stable OC you should be fine, plus you will need a cpu cooler if your gonna OC
