so im trying to mod my new PC and i cant find individually sleeved cables in the light blue color i want. i was able to find sleeve but that requires to install the sleeving myself. im kinda ok with this but i cant imagine it take shorter than 3 or 4 hours to individually sleeve all the cables that run into my psu. has anyone done this and if so how long did it take you? I do like the idea of getting two different collors and doing patters on the cables in one harness.

for the first several cables it is going to take several minutes to get used to it, but after that they take 2-3 minutes each

I tried once but gave up because it was very tedious, If it's your first time and you have to sleeve a lot of cables at least 6 hours+ ( that is if you want to do it tidy, it can be done in 2 hours or less but that way you will have an ugly sleeve job.)

I've tried it on a non-modular SFX PSU and i'm never doing it again. Took me about 8 hours to finish, and it was a horrible job. I had to rush it because i was going to a LAN party and i thought i could do the sleeving before going. One part i really messed up was the hole where the wires came out of the PSU. When i was done sleeving, i had to screw the casing back on the PSU. What i didn't realize beforehand was that the cables were much thicker with sleeving on them so the casing wouldn't fit. I had to do a last minute mod with my Dremel and cut the hole bigger. My fingers were also bleeding and i had burn marks from fiddling with the cable pins and melting the sleeving to secure it. I didn't use the proper tools though. Only used a pair of pliers and a lighter. (Not recommended). I did make it to the LAN party and the PC worked. (Thank god). I did not feel secure with the PSU anymore since i had messed with it so badly. I decided to get rid of it short after. Almost gave it away for free so bad was the job. Anyways I'm sticking to pre-sleeved cables (Like Corsair cables and Bitfenix Alchemy extensions)

TL;DR

Been there, done that. Don't do it, get extensions.
