Windows 9

So I just built my brand new rig only a little more than a month ago with Windows 8.1 64-Bit. If Microsoft is giving up on 8.1, should I keep it? There aren't anymore major updates for it. Will there be an advantage over 8.1, like there was over 7?

I don't understand where you would go anyway. Windows 7 will get updates for much less time than 8.1 will.

I actually really like windows 8.1 and I dont think ill switch to NEIN and dont go back to 7 itll get even less updates

Switch to 9 when it comes out unless you're using tablet exclusively, it will probably make the UI more desktop friendly. Back-end stuff will only get better too. Just look at the memory management changes between 7 and 8.

I dont actually have a touch screen device what so ever what I mean by that is that I might get a windows 8 start menu for it
