I watched this "guide" to Elite: Dangerous

 

 

And I'm tempted to pick the game up now.

 

Anyone have any thoughts about the game? Is it worth it?

I like the look of it, but i wouldn't bother with the Beta myself. Will have to wait a bit before i purchase it, gotta get Metro 2033/Last Light Redux first

4. Go play Skyrim (or whatever)

i am truly enjoying the game, even if the game is pretty small at this point, with it being in beta and all, only a small hand full of systems are available few ships and limited market, everything is still being working on, so don't expect a finished product. still fairly stable thought. if you're not a big space sci-fi gamer, it will seem very slow paced, boring and what not, but any fan will love having this game, flying your ship with a joystick just feels right.

 

and please don't expect this game to be anything like StarCitizen, its not meant to be. they are 2 completely different entities. but cant wait to play that too

 

i was a big fan of Elite 2, so i cant wait to see what they will do with this one, even thought they already said they will do planetary stuff as a paid expansion. they still say they are planing on a late 2014 release, so might get the full game this year.
