i5 3570k has a bent or slightly damaged contact/pad. This is from the bent pins in the MB Socket no doubt. IS the CPU fixable? I am was having issues trying to get it to post.

Asus p8z77 v lx, PSU Corsair CX750M, everything seems to get power. So is it a brick or a still usable and overclockable CPU?

Probably okay. Mobo probably not. Pics?

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

If it's a damaged contact pad it all depends what that pad does. If you poke around the internet hard enough you will find schematics for the socket and pin out locations. Then you can decipher what they do, and, what that pad was for.

It could even be just a dummy empty one, or, if your luck is out a VDDC.

I did try to set the pins in the motherboard but I stopped out of frustration and decided not to throw it at a wall. That guy makes it seem so easy.  I will get some different tools for it. Like the little screwdrivers if i can find any. Also that is a good idea about putting a low priced used lga1155 CPU in first.
