Test GPU Overclock

When overclocking a GPU, how should I test the stability of the overclock?

 

What program should I use, and how long should I use it for?

Unigine Valley/Heaven and your games. Just play games as you normally would.

Firstly, run something like Furmark, or MSI Kombustor. If it's stable after 30 minutes of that, try playing a video game, preferably something demanding. If it crashes at some point, then your OC is unstable.

Ok. What about the GPU temperatures? What would be considered the highest the temp should go?

 

The GPU is a Sapphire Radeon R9 270.

As long as it's under ~70c it should be alright.

 

I have an R9 270X, and never go past 49c, and that is on a warm & humid day.

fire strike extreme will bust an oc quicker than anything else, period.

 

 

use FSE, FS standard, heaven and valley ( heaven and valley lesser so , ) and all your games,

 

if you're stable in ALL of them your oc is stable. 

 

 

10/10 cards can oc to the moon and back with enough voltage, it's usually not enough voltage that will hold you back... and cooling, yeah cooling, that shit's good too....
