I've had a problem with some parts that I used for a PC that I'm making for a friend. All the parts seem to be working fine, but whenever I try to turn the pc on with everything connected it won't start. When i disconnect the video card from the psu it starts up just fine. I'm not sure if I need a better psu or something else. The parts are ($239.99) EVGA SuperClocked 02G-P4-2765-KR GeForce GTX 760 2 and ($59.99) CORSAIR CX series CX500 500W ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS B . Any advice at all is appreciated.

500 watts should be enough, but if the other parts are like extremely power consuming (i7 4770k oc'ed and stuff like that) it could be that it's just not enough and you need a bigger psu.

if you have the chance to try a bigger psu try it and see if it still fails, then it's probably a problem with the gfx card and you should RMA it.
