I have been planning this build for awhile and I am still gathering funds for it actually, its nothing too very special but I always like second opinions. I am planning to do a sleek black and green build and I will be doing modifications to some of the hardware such as painting. I am also waiting for a case to be released -  the Razer H440 (Don't judge, I love Razer though you might not). Anyways, here is the list.

Case

NZXT H440 Razer Edition- (I'm a fanboy damn it, get over it).

CPU

I7-4790K- (will do some mild overclocking, nothing too serious).

Mobo

ASUS Sabertooth Z97 Mk1

RAM

32GB Kingston HyperX Beast @1600 MHz- (4x8GB dims).

GPU

Stock Nvidia GTX 780TI - (I know, kinda cliché but I like the stock cooler). (Also will be getting a second one in the future, and they might be slipping into a water cooling block when that happens).

PSU

*EDIT* - Corsair AX860

Storage

X1 Seagate 4TB SSHD- (First time with one of these please let me know if its crap before I buy it)(EDIT-6TB was a typo, and has been corrected).

X1 Crucial M500 240GB

Cooling

Corsair H105 w/ x2 Corsair Sp120s- (Thought a painted green ring would add a nice aesthetic on both).

x4 Corsair AF140- (Though I might change the front intake fans to SP fans or Noctuas or something...).

*I will probably do a water cooling loop in the future just not now... my wallet is becoming skinny*

Additions

All BitFenix green sleeved cables

And one BitFenix Alchemy green LED strip.

And that is my upcoming build! Please let me know what you guys think and anything you would do differently because I just might consider changing a few things.

Thanks guys! :)

Smaller PSU, 16GB ran and a. 780 TI would be better IMHO.

I'd rather have a SeaSonic psu.  As for the ram wth with the 32 GB?  Also I would find cheaper options on other parts so you could get SLI cards and have a higher performance at higher resolutions.

Eh one thing though isn't the 880 coming soon?  September?  You might want to wait on a video card purchase for now and you some piece of garbage temporarily.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

Get an AX860i. Your system even with 2 780s won't consume enough power that it warrants that high wattage of a PSU. You don't need 32GB of ram unless your video editing and stuff so get 8GB or 16GB instead. Everything else looks good

I will be doing some video editing and is why i went with 32 GBs

Note taken from you and Creepers. I will be doing a watercooling loop in the future, so will I be ok with that PSU?

What is your budget?

Already have the price sorted.

if you're gaming that's completely overkill on most parts where money could be allocated to better gaming performance

go for a dual 3tb HDD setup in raid 0 for better performance than  6tb hybrid

take some money and get a 780ti instead of on an overkill PSU

INTEL CORE I5 4670K | NVIDIA GTX 980 | NOCTUA NH-L9i | GIGABYTE GA-Z97X-SLI | KINGSTON 120GB V300

CM STORM QUICKFIRE TK | BENQ XL2420TE | ROCCAT SAVU | FRACTAL DEFINE R4

32GB is not really that useful in video AFAIK. I'm still airtime confused on the 1200w psych. Water cooling takes an extra 10w at most . I would really try to get a 780ti.

Ya the 1200w is way too much, dont know what logic was behind that...I will step it down lol.

If you are serious about your mechanical storage( seeing the 6tb sshd) you might instead consider getting a raid 5 array instead. For the price of that 6tb drive(going by pcpartpicker price) you could get 3 4tb drives for an array with some money to spare

The drive btw isn't bad, but the price is a bit steep

You may want to consider the new Swiftech H220-X cooler (I think it ships at the end of the month), http://www.swiftech.com/H220-X.aspx. Adds some bling and the loop can be expanded when you are ready to add the gpu.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.

Was actually looking at that today. Also saw Linus' video. Something I might end up changing.

Ya, I am considering doing a RAID array. Though I just might end removing the drives from my system, and throw them in a NAS, it will cut down on the heat and noise. But that's after I do some healing to my wallet after the damage this rig will do lol.

EDIT-Didn't realize I had it listed as 6TB, I had meant 4 xD. I dont think there is even a commercial 6TB SSHD at a reasonable price. But anyway. like I said, I will get a NAS set up at some point (always something I wanted to get around to). But i think 3 4TB drives in RAID would be a little too noisy and would put off too much heat.

Yeah the cheapest 6tb drive is like $600 lol

A 4tb drive would be good by it self, but they probably won't make that much noise since they are 5900rpm drives and heat shouldn't be a big concern when it comes to hard drives(your going to have fans blowing directly on them).

That would be going in the complete opposite direction I am trying to go with this build. I am trying to achieve a nice black a green asthetic and have specific parts that cant change and I am willing to pay for. The mother board wont work, and the HDD is too small. I am going to have all my games in my steam library in my computer. So around 100 games. I will also be doing video editing, 3D modeling and texture work. As far as the GPUs go, I normally play green team. I like the software better (though someone is probably going to fight me on that one, that's not why I am here, its personal preference , get over it). I am not trying to go for a budget build, nor am I trying to spend a trillion dollars.I am just trying to build a system that is pleasing to my taste and performs great too. The cost I listed to you also includes some other things I did not list here like peripherals and all of the plasti-dip.Thank you for your help though, I might have some friends that I will point in your direction in the future. :D

This is true, but I honestly think I only need one drive untill NAS time, what am I going to do with 12TB of space on my rig lol?

So what do you like so much about Razer compared to Corsair, or Sennheiser, or CM?

I had the Blackwidow Ultimate for 15 days. I had to return it. It doesn't have all mech switches. And for the price, it should have.  I ended up getting the CMStorm TK with green switches for $20 cheaper. If I wanted a semi mech keyboard, I'd buy another K60.

Air 540, MSI Z97 Gaming 7, 4770K, SLI EVGA 980Ti, 16GB Vengeance Pro 2133, HX1050, H105840 EVO 500, 850 Pro 512, WD Black 1TB, HyperX 3K 120, SMSNG u28e590d, K70 Blues, M65 RGB.          Son's PC: A10 7850k, MSI A88X gaming, MSI gaming R9 270X, Air 240, H55, 8GB Vengeance pro 2400, CX430, Asus VG278HE, K60 Reds, M65 RGB                                                                                       Daughter's PC: i5-4430, MSI z87 gaming AC, GTX970 gaming 4G, pink air 240, fury 1866 8gb, CX600, SMSNG un55HU8550, CMstorm greens, Deathadder 2013

Razer isn't my one and only choice. I actually regret getting the Black Widow 2014 because I should of just waited for the Corsair K70 RGB ( and there are a few other gripes about it that I have), It is nicer and has more features and will be around the same price point as the Black Widow. But I normally like to go Razer because I have never had a problem with anything and I don't mind paying a little more for something that has a solid build quality, it also matches the color scheme I am trying to do for this build, so thats a added bonus. Like i said Razer isnt my only choice, but is preferred. If i feel something is truly better and the price point really backs it up, ill choose that over Razer.
