Need help installing Teamspeak 3

So, I have the TS3 .run file sitting on my desktop doing nothing, since I forgot how to install it. Can someone help me out? OS is Elementary OS .2 32-bit.

I though the 3 in your title was supposed to be " :3 " Whoops.

chmod u+x ./TeamSpeak3-Client-linux_x86-3.0.16.run

I believe chmod +x works as well but someone correct me if I'm wrong.

a+x and +x both install for all, u+x is for user

What did I do wrong? It's probably because I'm tired I missed something painfully obvious.

replace the asterisk with the file version

cd ~/Downloads (assuming saved in Downloads folder, otherwise where you saved it)

chmod u+x ./TeamSpeak3-Client-linux_x86-3.0.12.run

./TeamSpeak3-Client-linux_x86-3.0.12.run

You need to name the file you want to add permission to. I thought you would remember by seeing chmod and ;

Nope. I forgot almost everything except sudo (apt-get, apt-add-repository, autoremove, etc.). The basics.

I was too lazy to try to do any work, so I used my secret googling ability and that's what Ubuntu forums told me.

Alright, everything is in the folder in my Downloads... So.... How do I go about installing it like a normal program? It works in the folder, just it isn't installed. Know what I mean?
