but i suggest you RMA that board of yours

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

That's okay, move it down one. I don't know about ASUS but, in my Gigabyte bios I can set which is the primary GPU slot. So, if you have a similar setting change it. It will work either way.
