I think if you signed up on the site (thus getting a citizen number) it'll let you know you can play because the roll out has been based on citizen number but you still need a package to actually play.

I'm going to be honest with you, that is a pretty stupid statement to make. You realize this game is completely funded by the gamers so them sending an email TO THE GAMERS to purchase the game so that they can play the new content is EXACTLY what they would and should be doing. It's called being proactive and is a very good thing to do as a business.

 

Please stop being so fanboy over the game, star citizen isn't a hipster game, its not too cool to use proper business tactics.
