Largest known collection of stolen Internet credentials

Hold Security has discovered the largest known collection of internet credentials. The collection was built by Russian hackers over a period of time.
Apparently we're talking about 1.2 billion credentials and 500 million email addresses from 420,000 websites, small and large.

“Companies that rely on user names and passwords have to develop a sense of urgency about changing this.”
