Hi! I'm new in the PC Gaming Master Race. I come from consoles (X360 and PS3) so the master race is awesome for me. I waited and now I have a decent PC that can run games easily (i5 4570 and GTX 760, I will get an R9 280 soon).

I was used to play Battlefield 3 and 4 in my Xpotato360, now the jump to PC is HUGE, I only have BF3 in the PC but is so awesome.

Well, I'm looking for recommendations, games like Bioshock, Half Life, Dead Space, Fallout.

I was used to enjoy the console exclusives (I loved The Last Of Us, one of the best games I've ever played) but there's no Beyond Two Souls, Halo or Uncharted on PC.

That's why I'm asking for some good games to buy (or get them in the Bay *ARGHH*)

You guys are the experts, thanks :)

While not a PC exclusive, I have played Crysis, BioShock Infinite and Portal since building my PC. I have enjoyed all of them

Get some of the top games on Steam like DayZ, The Forest, Rust. I recommend Portal and Portal 2 if you haven't played, they are awesome. Maybe get BF4.

I've already played the Portal series (Valve games are awesome) I will try The Forest and maybe I will get BF4 if it gets a little cheaper, I got BF3 for free, but if I go with BF4 I will go with Premium too.

Wait for gta 5 on pc, skyrim, gta 4, grid 2, watch dogs, and sleeping dogs.

Watch Dogs is way too over-hyped, now you don't hear it anymore. Sleeping Dogs gets boring and just frustrating half-way though the game, GTA 4 seems outdated.

I haven't tried Skyrim, I would definitely get my hands on it, GRID 2 is something I would consider, unless I had NFS MW 2012 or Rivals (I prefer MW), and GTA 5 on PC will be awesome.

Mass Effect trilogy,Dragon Age trilogy, Dead Space trilogy.

Mass Effect and Dragon Age aren't boring? I've never gave them enough time to try them because I think that Magic/Fantasy games get a little boring over time (I don't know why) I loved Dead Space 1 & 2, a friend told me that the 3rd sucks. :P

It's one of the first games I will buy, it convinced me just by watching VanossGaming videos, playing it with friends is super funny, you make too much random shit, lots of laughs.

Not about games, but why are you getting an r9 280 if you already have a 760?

I mean, it performs slightly better, but not worth it to buy it as a replacement for the 760

Not planning to upgrade in 3-4 years or even more, maybe the extra GB of RAM is worth it. What do you think? A friend wants to buy my 760, he will give me the same money I paid for the card.

One thing is true, my 760 performs very well, I got it at 1295 BOOST stable without touching power limit, and always stays below 80C. Maybe I won the sillicon lottery, but I don't know if the 280 is better.

oh, well if you're selling the 760 for retail price, then by all means, replace it with the r9 280.

if you don't plan to upgrade then it might be worthwhile to get the 280x instead (sure, you might be able to overclock the 280 to stock 280x speeds, but then a 280x could also overclock...)

Anyway, back to games, Transistor is pretty fun, captivating. The game itself isn't very long though, maybe 10 hours if you don't rush it, but it has a really great story.

add:

Just a list of games I enjoy:

Far cry 3

Kerbal space program

Transistor/Bastion

Dirt 2

Tomb Raider (better tressfx if you get the 280 :P)

Spec ops: the line

Sleeping dogs

Sniper elite v2

Hitman absolution (recommend)

Oh, and witcher 2 if you're into that sort of game

Home is where the heart my desktop is.

Where I live the cheapest 280x costs 60 dollars more than the cheapest 280 that I can get (Asus DirectCU II) i'm also concerned about the VRM and VRAM cooling stuff...

I will check it out, thanks :) I know there's a ton of games but I don't know wich ones I should play

ok, it's your choice, but obviously the 280x is a better card in terms of performance. Whether or not it's worth your money...well that's also up to you.

It's always nice to have some sort of racing game in your library, and personally I found Dirt 2 to be my favourite, but make sure to play it with a controller :P
