Motherboard help

I recently bought a GA-990FXA-UD3 motherboard for my PC, but there seems to be something wrong this the CPU Slot.

The slot is supposed to look like this:

As you can see in the 1st image, there is an extra... bump I guess. The CPU itself rocks when I put it in. Anyone know why?

What is wrong? Did you buy the wrong motherboard? Please inform us of your PC's specs. I think the photo you included has very bad auto-focus :(

Could you not find the part that unlocks your cpu/apu physically.

I think I might be able to help. It might be a manufacturing defect.

Current Rig: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, Abit IN9-32MAX nForce 680i board, Galaxy GT610 1GB DDR3 gpu, Cooler Master Mystique 632S Full ATX case, 1 2TB Seagate Barracuda SATA and 1x200gb Maxtor SATA drives, 1 LG SATA DVD drive, Windows 10. All currently runs like shit :D

I took this on my tablet, sorry for the quality. On the motherboard that I have there is an extra rectangle that is slightly raised up, so my CPU rocks when I put it on. Whereas on the second picture there is no little rectangle in the middle of the slot.

If there's something wrong with mobo like built error you need to RMA it.
