Need help with refresh rate overclocking.

I have a couple of questions to ask about overclocking the refresh rate of my monitor. I have a sapphire r9 270 and an hp 900p monitor running at 60hz. On amd ccc i went to panel properties and it says my maximum reported refresh rate was 75hz. I also went to another tab which gave me the option to change the refresh rate to 75hz. Would it be safe to put it at 75hz? And i have one more question. I saw a video of someone overclocking their panel's refresh rate but they had an nvidia card. Is there any way to overclock a display's refresh rate on amd ccc? Thanks for your time.

I'v never actually overclocked any monitor before, but I don't see from my point of few what could ever go bad or anything if it doesn't overclock so much, try and do 1hz at a time if you can. It could also shorten the lifespan of course.

If the monitor is giving you the option to change the refresh rate to 75, then it should be safe. Try it.. The worst case scenario is that the screen goes black for 15 seconds and then resets to 60 hz.
