Please help me fix it.

PC Specification

Processor : AMD Dual core ( yeah I know need an upgrade on this one too )

MB : ASROCK ( some FX unlocked version )

RAM : 4 GB corsair Vengence

Graphics Card : Saphire Radeon R9 270 X

Thanks

What PSU do you have?

Mine is a mercury 450W, I know I should have gone for a Corsair/ Cooler master. Because the PSU cables are not reaching up to the motherboard when I assmble the whole components to my new cooler master mid- tower.

I am a little confused if it is happening due to the 'old' processor or a cheap PSU.

I also suspected  the same and bought a cooler master mid tower recently. But, as mentioned in my previous comment, PSU cables are not reaching up to the mother board. I need to get extensions for'em.

Event vwr has nothing suspeciuos in it. I googled it a lot and failed.

I think it is normal, s/w came with the Asrock mother board also tells me the same. but, yes, once I smelled like something was burning inside. Thas is why I went for cooler master cabinet.

Still, thank you and I will monitor the temp and let you know. Should I try with any other softwares?

My primary suspect would be the psu. 450 seems a touch low, especially when you add in aging.

Thank you. but I checked with Corsasir website as well. it also suggested me to go for a 450W PSU with my configuration.

What would you suggest if not 450W?

Were you saying that the dual core would be enough for another 6 months? (((( BF4 and Farcry3 are yet to be played.))))

Rather than just wattage, I'd suggest checking out jonnyGuru for reviews of PSUs... There are some 700W PSUs out there that could only handle 300W and then burn your house down...

I always like some head room... is your psu 80+ certified at all? I had similar problems years ago. New gpu, fine for a little while, then shut downs during games. Ended up killing the gpu because I skimped on the psu.
