Hi guys, my case is a 550D and it has a H90 mounted on it. The radiator is on the back of the case. The fan that comes with H90 is between the radiator and the back of the case. The problem is it doesn't provide much exhaust. So here is the deal, I'm going to mount two fans on the radiator but I need both decent air exhaust and radiator cooling. Which Corsair fans do you recommend and how should I set them up? (All of my other fans are from Corsair and I'm happy with them.) All the help is much appreciated! :) Thank you.

EDIT: How do I connect all these fans? I have bought corsair fans and mounted them but need a clean solution to connect them all. I currently have three case fans and there will be two more on the radiator.

Plug the fans into the fan headers on your motherboard...

:D I know but there isn't enough headers..

You could get some fan splitters. That would allow you to plug two fans into one header.

Btw, how many case fans, not cpu fans, can I connect to a Maximus V Formula? I've looked at the specs on the product page but all the headers have different names so I couldn't be sure.. Thank you.

That fan controller looks very nice too!

You could get a fan controller like this one. Its $30, but very nice.

What about my main questions guys? Regarding the radiator cooling and exhaust etc.

If you want to stick with corsair fans your only real option is the AF140 fan. If you choose that one I would just install it onto the radiator on the inside. Then you would have: back of case - fan from H90 - radiator - AF140 fan.

The AF is optimized for spaces that have some clearance behind the fan so it works better as a push fan than a pull fan (in my opinion).

How do you know that it doesn't bring enough exhaust? You can add exhaust to top also.

I'm pretty sure it provides less airflow than my two AF120s on front, which is not enough for me man. I know, thanks for the suggestion but I don't want to remove the top cover since doing that would spoil the purpose of 550D.

Thank you, I appreciate your help! :) I was thinking about replacing the stock H90 fan too. I've read some bad reviews about it. What would be the best option for both airflow and radiator cooling? Perhaps a SP-AF combo? I've no experience on fans so I need your help guys! Thanks. :)

I'm sorry I meant the 140mm fan that came with the H90 provides much less airflow than one of my AF120s on front.

I understand. But I'm talking about different matter. You'd want intake to be more powerful than exhaust. Thats why I'm curious how you can tell that there isn't enough exhaust. Usually anything that has effect on case airflow is shown either in temps or cooler fans spinning faster than needed.

Well I can actually "feel" that the 140mm fan is not exhausting enough air out of the case. I know this is a very bold statement but if you were to place your hand on the back of the case where the fan is, you too would feel that there isn't enough air coming out of there.

Yeah. And if rear and sides get hot thats also good sign that something isn't moving the hot air out.
