Which SATA 3 port did you plug it into? If you plugged it into the one that's controlled by a third part chipset instead of the one controlled by the Intel chipset it could be why.

Try the ATTO benchmark see what you get. I'll try figuring out your problem

Hmm the last thing I can think of is updating the firmware on it. 

 

If that doesn't work try contacting Samsung see if they'll be able to fix it.

 

 

By the way you won't really see any performance impact in boot times or game loading times even with that slight slower reads and writes

Bit off topic: My 840 Pro doesnt update to latest firmware. It just says Firmware update failed on the selected drive ( Which is the SSD ) and ive found no answer in google!

Now this i dont understand.. you can only choose 470 or 830? i want to send them a email about this problem...went to - Samsung.com - support - found the 840 pro -  email support - this happends.. and there is no way i can contact them on the danish website.. i found nothing about the SSD on there lol...

Sorry for not being of much help :(

i found out myself what the problem was :D i did not have AHCI enabled :P.. but its working now :D :D :D well atleast im hitting 54k IOPS in Random read and 42k in random write.. :D like 5 times more IOPS in read than before and twice the amount in write :D still not hitting the target.. but you know.. whatever.. its waaay closer than before :P also my seq read is now on 554mbps and my seq write also increased.. great stuff
