I have recently been playing tomb raider 2013 with my crossfire Hd 7870's enabled(I haven't used crossfire in a while)

My system is very quiet until i run with the second graphics card.

my temps after playing for 40 mins are from about 65°C - 70°C

the cards are different manufacturers Sapphire(2fans) and XFS(1fan) both clocked the same.

Its definitely the XFS card which will also commonly makes a clicking noise when it speeds up(There is nothing in and around the fan and very little dust)

I have had them both for about a year now and this is the first time this has happened.

Is there anyway to remedy this problem?

Thank you

OBielegend.

Pretty normal actually dude surprised you haven't had the problem before doing heavy gaming like that. I have crossfire 7970 Sapphires and although they have a lot more power going through them (literally) my top card is always about 10 degrees hotter than my bottom one due to heat rising even though i have a 240mm fan than basically blows between the cards. Also the top card will typically carry the most load depending on the game. If you wanted to swap the cards around that might be worth trying also turning off AMD Overdrive that also could help.

My rig: Case: Corsair 760T CPU: Intel 4690k MOBO: MSI Z79 Gaming 5 RaM: 16gb HyperX SSD: 256gb Samsung pro HDD: 1tb Toshiba PSU: Thermaltake smart 750 GPU: 1x GTX 1080 Founders edition

XFS? You mean XFX. Never heard of XFS.
