NZXT Hue for Workstation Lighting

Hello fellow Linusians!
So I'm about to get a NZXT Hue soon, but as my case (Corsair 300R) doesn't have a side window, I'm thinking about routing the LED strip through the inside of my case, out of a open PCI slot and then stick it to my wall to get a cool RGB workstation light that I can control from my PC.

Basically I wanna route the light through here:


And then take it out and stick it to the wall here:


Thoughts?

The NZXT hue leds are incredibly weak, wouldn't provide much lightning... sorry

Those standard RGB 5050 leds you can buy on ebay with a controller and a remote. You can get a molex to round connector thingy to install it in the pc, or get a wall adapter:

I reccomend the 44 key.

PS: you can cut the strips with scissors for the perfect length.

NewAndreas' suggestion is what I recommend too.

For me I got a Hue for my case (has a window) and one of those for desk and back glow connected to a wall.
