Hello Everyone, During a storm i had there was a power outage after we got power back my computer would not post, showing me one of the three solid red LED indicators on my motherboard that a major component was missing or not working. After many hours of my own trouble shooting and looking on the web i figured out how to get it to Post and Run as it should. But the thing is the only way for my computer to be operational it has to run without its CMOS battery in. For some unknown godly reason it run perfectly fine without the CMOS battery, but every time i've tried to run it with the CMOS battery in it triggers on of the red LED indicators. Now even after Taking out the CMOS battery and attempting to post a red LED shows up, all i have to do to fix that is to do a DIM swap from 1-3 or 2-4. I have no reason as to why its like this. but my problem now is that since the CMOS battery is what saves the bios and licencing to windows activation I cannot activate my windows. Stating that My Manufacturers BIOS is missing a licensing to activate windows. I believe that this is caused due to my CMOS battery being gone and now being able to save my BIOS settings. My specs are as listed: Sabertooth 990FX (orginal model not R.2) Geforce GTX 760 Windforce Edition, 500gb SG barracuda, 120gb SSD Samsung 840 evo, AMD FX-8350, SilverLine Muskin @1336 8gbs. If anyone needs any other info to help me just ask below and ill answer as soon as i can. Thanks for reading!
