Hi guys i have gone and bought an EK supermacy clear to cool my 1150 cpu turns out that the back mounting plate for this socket hasn't been tapped for a thread, rendering the block usless. I am only able to get a replacement in a month or so seeing as the suppplier i have gotten this from likes to take as long as possible to process orders, either that or tap my own thread.

What are your thoughts on the situation??

Well I've used a die and tapper more times than I care to so I personally would do that because I know how to do it correctly. If you have never really done it then I suggest waiting since if you make it look like it has threads then I'm pretty sure they won't RMA it.
