Should I buy a PS4+GTA V bundle or wait few years for PC?

DeadSurvivor

They just think its a huge hassle if I have to return stuff because it didnt work or it breaks and they dont want to deal with that. Its their money after all lol. They would rather have me own something that came assembled and working than me putting it together and hoping for the best.

1. Try buying a pre-built one then from some retailers. Don't know any in the US (Assuming you're from there), but in Canada I know NCIX, Canada Computers and I believe Tiger Direct (though they are normally more expensive) make builds. I believe they also come with warranties

2. Pick reputable parts for your build that are new, and have warranty. Then just return and request a new one if its broken. I was able to get parts from Corsair in replacement for my damaged ones easily, just by sending the infos.

I'm not saying your parents aren't great at what they do. but it is a stupid thing to not want to buy one thing and be willing to buy the inferior. If they informed themselves they would change their mind, it has nothing to do with their parenting, it has to do with misinformation. My parents are amazing as well but my father also never wanted to buy me anything pc related and was totally against me picking the path I chose in the beginning until he came to accept it and understand more of what it is.

Plus, I completely agree with this guy. People are judgmental on first glance. Then you realize how simple it is later on. I understand where the worry comes from, and if I had a kid asking for a butt ton of money for a weird machine that possibly wouldn't work, I would walk the same route at first. Just try reasoning. You can also ask for $400 and say you have no interest in the PS4 and you will just save it for future use.

All else fails, take the PS4, and save up. Get both slowly but surely :P

I got a gaming PC first after building it for a couple years. Then I just bought an Xbox One for the sake of wanting to play Forza titles, Naruto with friends, and Halo! PC masterace is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of. A console has exclusives that I love to play. They look and perform just fine.

Say that to my xbox that dips below 30 fps on GTA V and Naruto, the moment naruto came to pc I rendered my xbox obsolete. I can't stand trying to play a game at this day and age having to struggle with occasional freezing and slow downs.

GTA V was not optimized at all. And of course it dips. You have an Xbox 360. Get an Xbox One and see the difference.

in a year or two Xbone games will be exactly the same, Naruto isn't even pushing the xbox to its limits yet it hangs and lags. I won't get an xbox one because the hardware is already inferior to even a PS4 and I have no need for a console as I have my PC and the exclusives I'm interested in started coming to pc anyway.

Get the PS4. It is pretty good and will be good for a long while since we're less than a year into new consoles. I have a PS4 and I like it a lot :)

Halo still hasn't been announced for PC and Forza is probably never going to PC. Only big port so far is Naruto. Which I can see having a permanent spot in Steam.

Get the PS4 now, there's no benefit in having nothing for a few years...

Just get the PS4 and start saving for the PC. That's what I'm doing now.

If you have to ask that question , wait and don't buy anything. When you know in your heart what you want after doing research and weighing out the pros and cons, then buy the system that is right for you. COUGH COUGH......PC.......COUGH COUGH

If they released a PS4 bundled with GTA V should I spend $400+ on that or wait about 2 years till I get a job and build my own PC? My parents said I can only make a PC with my own money so thats why I cant build a PC now if you are wondering.

I am an avid PC Gamer but in all seriousness, 2 years is a bloody long time and it isnt that much of a hit if you buy the PS4 and GTA V now and sell it when you want to get your PC in 2 years. PCs are good but not worth that kind of wait.

Honestly would prefer the 360 over the Xbone.

The main point is GTA5 for pc or ps4. To which he SHOULD wait for pc. It will be far superior.

He shouldn't wait because waiting will take years. A PS4 can bridge the gap between something and nothing...

Just out of interest, what is it that your parents don't like about a PC? I know what it's like, it took a lot of effort by me to get my parents to spend money on my PC. I'm asking because there are lots of arguments for spending the money going towards a PC, so if you told us why they don't want to spend on it we may be able to help you explain why it would be in their best interests to get you on a PC rather than PS4.

Then again, if they flat out refuse to spend on your PC but will buy you a PS4, then why not go for the PS4. Besides, you can still save up for the PC and have both in the future anyway, best of both worlds ;)

Good PCs are expensive. You should work for your first build so you know how much your wallet is going to hurt should you ever choose to build again.

Honestly you should work for the PS4, too. I try to avoid urging my parents into feeding my expensive hobbies seeing as they already pay college tuition...

Git Gud.
