Long range reliable USB/PCI-E Wireless card

vanwazltoff

I have a TP-Link N900 PCI-E wireless card and its a piece of crud and is always giving me issues (says I have the wrong passphrase, won't stay connected, no other computers in the house has any problems connected, has poor range), any suggestions for a long range reliable wireless card? I have an old Alfa USB wireless card that is a bit finicky after 5 years.

Any suggestions? I'd prefer for it to be less than $40

Asus PCE-N53 (PCE-N15 if you don't need dual band but I'd highly recommend it for futureproofing)
