Major problem

Gigabyte z77 ud4h mobo, sapphire hd 7950, corsair cx600m psu, 1st time building. When I plugged everything in the gpu didnt give any signal to the monitor, it did power up and all the lights turned on. When I plugged the gpu to the 2nd slot as if I had 2 gpus it did work. I did sent the mobo back they said they have tested it and everything works. I dont know what to do, any help?

No, they have tested it and said that it works just fine.

most likely it's a bios setting with the pcie slots.

 

just mess around with the pcie settings until something works.

Did you plug the monitor into 7950, or into the motherboard?

Check out your PCI-E slot settings in the bios, perhaps it's deactivated, read thorugh the options and make sure it is set correctly.

did you try both the dvi-i and dvi-d ports on the back of the video card?

go to bios-search for initialize graphics adapter and select peg/pci option.
