So I've got a new build, at the moment i'm thinking of getting the Corsair Carbide SPEC-03 case. But I've seen the Sharkoon T9 case and it looks amazing, but heard it doesn't fit the R9 280X GPU? As this is the GPU I plan on getting so it'd be helpful if anyone had any info on this! If anyone has any other case ideas I could check out that would be cool :) Also later on I plan on getting water cooling, so it'd be cool if anyone could suggest decent coolers that aren't too pricey that could fit!

(also might get SSD later on)

My build:

CPU: Intel i5 4690k

GPU: R9 280X Sapphire Dual-X 3gb

RAM: 2x4gb Corsair 1600Mhz

HDD: Seagate 1TB

PSU: Corsair CX600 600W

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI

Thanks for any help / ideas :)

I would get a less budget case with those specs

With such a build that costs that much why not aim for the NZXT H440, Corsair Obsidian 450, Fractal Design Define R4, Phanteks Enthoo Pro, etc.

You gotta do you girl. I always say you gotta do you. And if he's doing him, then who's doing you? Because right now, it seems like no one's doing you.

I would love to get a better case, I was looking at NZXT Phantom 410, but I really can't go that much :( As I had to upgrade the Motherboard that cut off some of the cases that I wanted to get.

@Palahniuk What is your budget? I would stick with the spec 3 or go with the 300/330R with a side panel + window. Might be a bit more exspensive.

I'd try to get a borderline good 120GB-250GB ssd first over the masstorage but it's your choice.

I'm gonna go ahead a say it's well worth saving the few tens of dollars it would cost to get these nicer cases. If in the future you would buy another case it would be a waste of money and a second case. However if none of that dissuades you then I can suggest the N600 from Cooler Master. I think that's about 80, 70 on sale; which it frequently is, so either exactly the same as the case you originally mentioned or ten dollars more.

It was £750, already gone overboard a little as atm it's £765. And my 18th isn't far off (couple months) where I can get an SSD. I've never had one yet so it's not like i'm going to miss it! For a case budget i'd probably go with £50 for now. Maybe in the future when I have more to splash out I'll get a nicer case

With that said get a hold of something pretty mainstream not too tacky but that's my opinion. I like the antec one case, it has a decent look & although the side panel has no window you could get a dremel/jigsaw and cut out one, file the edges then glue plexi to it. BTW the case is like 40-50 quid.

If you are willing to spend $100 on a case, the Phanteks Enthoo Pro is unbeatable for the price.
