Windows 8 install error.

"Windows cannot be installed on this disk. This computers hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computers BIOS menu"

I'm using MSI click BIOS 2 and ADATA SX900. Can't do crap without my computer. How to fix?

(On my phone)

5800X3D - RTX 4070 - 2K @ 165Hz

Where can I find that? There seems to be no individual drive settings. Just "Boot mode select"

There are two options UEFI or UEFI + Legacy. Option 2 selected.

Set to just AHCI. Legacy allows for booting of Windows 7 and below.. Windows 8 doesn't fall into this catagory so Legacy needs to be off

IDE gives same error.

Hmm, try a different optical drive. But it might not if it boots into the installation. Maybe try a different SATA port.

Current Rig: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600, Abit IN9-32MAX nForce 680i board, Galaxy GT610 1GB DDR3 gpu, Cooler Master Mystique 632S Full ATX case, 1 2TB Seagate Barracuda SATA and 1x200gb Maxtor SATA drives, 1 LG SATA DVD drive, Windows 10. All currently runs like shit :D

use BIOS mode with AHCI

Or BIOS with IDE, and then BIOS with Legacy maybe.
