Okay, so in all seriousness I don't understand Star citizen. I realize you're in space and you shoot shit, but you can also be a pirate? Wut?

Could someone make or paste a link to a very very detailed description of everything we know of star citizen? That would be awesome for newbies like me who think that star citizen footage looks amazing but "wat does it all meen?!?!?11?!??!".

Star Citizen is an upcoming space trading and combat simulator video game for Microsoft Windows and Linux. Star Citizen will consist of two main components: first-person space combat, first-person shooter elements and trading in a massively multiplayer persistent universe and customizable private servers, and a branching single-player and drop-in co-operative multiplayer campaign (titled Squadron 42). The game is built on a modified CryEngine and will feature Oculus Rift support.

This is an old vid now and the narrator is cringe worthy at parts but he gets the basic reasons to like the game across well IMO (www.youtube.com/watch?v=06Un1pEr5tA), there's a lot more info out now and all the visual detail in the video has already been upgraded (it was from their pitch video).
