I Upgrading my GPU...

 

And then I hear'd the news of Microsoft DirectX 12 is coming...

And I also herared that the DX 12 Supports 79% of DX 11 cards...

 

So, I am wondering should I upgrade my GPU or wait for DX12...

 

My planning GPU is EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750Ti FTW w/ EVGA ACX Cooling...

it Supports DX 11.2 and OpenGL 4.4...

The 750Ti will support DX12

All of Nvidia's DX11 class cards will support dx12 afaik, and all of AMD's GCN cards (7000 series and newer) will, so not much to worry about there.

From my understanding the majority of current DirectX11 card will ONLY support the performance boost of DirectX12, BUT not full DirectX12.

This makes sense, as, like new version of OpenGL, you need to the have GPU to support the new API and shader calls implemented in the new version, assuming the GPU doesn't support it already.

 

If you can wait, then wait. But don't expect full DirectX12 games any time soon when Windows 9 is released. Unless Microsoft is working with game engine companies and game studios to have a few games ready, in DirectX12, sometimes in Windows 9, 3 year life span. It rumored that we will have a new Microsoft Flight Simulator with DirectX12. Microsoft did say that there will be some games by Holiday 2015, but unclear if they are not just some DirectX 9 games or DirectX 11 with some DirectX12 effect in some room, or really support DirectX 12. Nor if it will be PC or XBox One (probably XBox One, as Microsoft tries to push that the console is near the same performance as the PS4)
