Hi guys, so I finally got some money, about 400 euros to spend on cpu, gpu and mobo. I thought of getting a I7 920 with 2x 7970-s and a decent mobo that allows me to overclock the cpu. I have the other components.

Do the question is, do these parts work together well. I just want to play games on minimum settings in 1080p. I'm 17 years old and I still haven't seen 60+ fps in 1080 low. Might this be my chance?

2 7970s would be plenty for 60fps on ultra.

I know about the sockets and everything but the problem is that I have 620W psu. It might get in the way right? Would I just be better of with one 7990 or 6990 ?

Don't get a 7990. You only need a single gpu for 1080P. Something like a 280X would be a good choice at that resolution.
