so I know that my WD 1 terabyte Caviar Black hard drive is beginning to die, but I would like to get 4 more gigs of ram for editing in my PC. I use Adobe Premiere Pro and Media Encoder for YouTube. But I wanted to know which one I should do first, I'll be able to get 1 right now and the other in about 3 weeks. I'm looking for faster render times.Thanks.

I don't think you will like losing all your data. Hard drive first.

Ps. From 8gigs you go to 16gigs not 12.You will lose the dual channel memory.
