[rant] Google............... *sigh*

Right, not sure here is the best place for this, but I need to vent.

 

I am an car / automotive fan, so I am subscribed to DRIVE - they have just released a paid subscription channel which has long episodes and no adverts - which I have no issues with as it's something I actually want to watch. 

 

Bit of back story, I have an original youtube account, I refused to link this with my real name google account every time they asked me - eventually they just got me to create a google plus 'page' for my youtube account. I'm sure many of you are in this situation.

 

Now, back to the present, I go click on 'subscribe' to pay for this new channel, up pops this popup...

What the actual f**k... so they want me to switch accounts to pay for it, and presumable it wont be linked as a subscription on my original youtube account, where I have 91 subscriptions.

 

That's so retarded, they have a link between my accounts, as I can easily switch them (not the point - I don't want to have to keep switching) so why not just allow the main google account to provide payment for pages etc...

I haven't had any major problems with Google. Sure, Google+ was a bit of a pain, but it's a free service, so..

Google+ was such a colossal piece of shit that it's going to take a long time of scrubbing to clean up the mess it made. Assuming Google doesn't take another dump...
