Hey folks,

I'm new in here and it is now six years since I last messed with assembling computer, so bare over me if there are some silly questions :)

I stand and need a new desktop for work, and some games and some poker.

In this context, we build some nice machine for around $ 2500.

My tank is to buy a gfx since I do not think it's wildly demanding games I get to play, so 2 would be too much.

I've looked at the following setup, there are some comments or recommendations? Thinking that surely be confused with overclocking.

Want to have water cooling, and I think a simple corsair system.

ASUS Z97-PRO (WIFI AC), Socket-1150

ASUS DVD Writer, DRW-24F1ST

ASUS GeForce GTX 770 2GB PhysX CUDA

Intel ® 730 SSD 240GB SATA OEM

Corsair Graphite 760T Mid Tower White

Kingston DDR3 HyperX Beast 16GB

Intel Core i7-4790K

Corsair RM750, 750W PSU

Corsair Hydro Series H110 CPUKøler

Thanks

Doesn't look like a bad build, only thing I noticed is that you have the 760T as a mid tower while its a full tower. Not really a problem with the build, just wanted to make sure you knew.

Uhm, I forgot what people say when there is an i7 for gaming..

I think they suggest an i5 4690k? Im not 100% sure.

But if thats the processor im thinking about, thats the one you should go with if its just for gaming!

depending on the work, the i7 is fine.

The 760T "only" supports a 240 or 360 in the top, you wont be able to smash a H110 in there :D

You might want to go custom loop or H100i :3

Okay what would you recommend instead?

As I said, you have a nice case, I personally would go with a custom loop. but if that is something you wouldn't do, get the h100i or if you want to utilize the full 360mm get the Glacier 360l

Make sure to post pics after the build! :D

i have 4 suggestions for u:

1)get a different SSD: the ssd u have chosen is good but i suggest u go for an ssd from ADATA or Corsair(who also happen to make the fastest ssd ever)with more space

2)get the GTX800: The GTX 660 is good enough but i suggest you wait for the GTX 880 to release as by using that card u will get the best computer for about 6 years and it is gonna be 150% better than GTX660

3)get core i5 4690k: if u wanna save money and its just as fast

4)get an HDD as well: since it is cheaper and has more storage

1) The reliability of his ssd is just superior.

2) I have no Idea where you pulled that number from, gtx 8xx does not even have a confirmed release (I lol at you when its released q1 2015)

3) Here you could save some money, true dat, but still, the i7-4790k is superior

4) yup, the HDD aint dead yet :D

I would swap that 770 for an AMD 280/x or even a 290

but that's just me.

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

I was only 9 years old. I loved Fifflaren so much, I had all the NiP merchandise and matches pirated. I prayed to Fifflaren every night before bed. Thanking him for the life I have been given. Fifflaren is love I say. Fifflaren is life. My dad hears and calls me a fuckhead. I knew he was just jelly of my passion for Fifflaren. I called him a Sw@yer. He hits me and sends me to go to sleep. I'm crying now, and my face hurts. I lay in bed and it's really cold. A warmth is moving towards me. I feel someone touching me. I feel someone touching me. It's Fifflaren. I am so happy. He whispers in my ear; "this is my pyjama". He grabs me with his powerful Swedish hands and puts me on my hands and knees. I'm ready. I spread my ass cheeks for Fifflaren. He penetrates my butt-hole. It hurts so much but I do it for Fifflaren. I can feel my butt tearing as my eyes start to water. I push against his force. I want to please Fifflaren. He roars a viking roar as he fills my butt with his love. My dad walks in. Fifflaren looks straight into his eyes and says; "He is a ninja now". Fifflaren is love, Fifflaren is life
