The Fx 6300 and the Asus M5A97 R2.0?

I quickly browsed the manufacturer websites and yes it looks like they would.

Yes. It's compatible, though you might have to update the BIOS. Not sure when the board was made in relation to when Vishera was released.

Should be some kind of utility you can download from ASUS website to do that.

 

EDIT: Never mind, the board supports USB BIOS Flashback. You would need to get a flash drive, download the BIOS from ASUS website, put it on the flash drive, and plug in the USB drive into the appropriate USB port, and then hold down the Flashback button for about 2 seconds.
