Round 2 - Will These Parts Work

ddbtkd456

Explain please why the motherboard is a poor choice. BTW cost is not a significant factor, never has been in this build.

Since the cooler is being stripped from the gpu who cares about its quality?

Still waiting on the name of the better thermal compound.

Again, what fans perform seriously better and are not Noctua?

so many sources I can give you to refute your statements and answer your questions, but (I like to think) that it's common knowledge here.

If OP asks, I will oblige, otherwise it's below my care threshold.

I just noticed that there is a 3TB hdd and a 4TB hdd. Why the difference?

Ones for movies, music, and photos (17 Megapixels) - 4TB

Back up for 3 different systems on the 3 TB.

If you've previously won the build off please pm me so we can get something worked out.

Any thermal compound that doesn't require a 200hr cure time like arctic silver does. Off the top of my head, MX-4 and NT-H1

I prefer Noiseblocker over Noctua

Well if you make a good enough point I just might switch them.

Also the fans are just the quietest I could find....without sacrificing the performance or looks.

Motherboard is overpirced and geared more to people who use LN2 cooling. Fans you're buying are extremely over priced. and rosewill products are pure shit.

The mobo has some fetures on it that justify its price. The fans are great. Rosewill might not be great but your are exagerating. Also is he is paying for something he likes who cares.

nothin wrong with sp120 quiet editions, as long as you get quiet editions.

There is an ASSTON of idiots on this forum that think all corsair fans are bad, and noctua is king, when it's nowhere near true.  SP/AF corsair fans as long as they are the QUIET EDITIONS, are fine.

I have gentle typhoons in my rig, and I recently bought 2 SP120 quiet editions to test them against my gentle typhoons, they're barely louder at 7v and 12v.   I used to have 4 nf-f12's, and I can most certainly say that the SP120 QE's are quieter than nf-f12's at full speed.

I don't want to rag on your build, but for $4500/5000 etc, you can do much better bro. I'll help you make changes if you like?

Then you should probably get WD Blue or Black, or Seagate Barracuda. The WD Reds are designed to work in a RAID array. (Not that I think it makes a huge difference.)

In benchmarks I've seen AS5 does perform marginally better so is it simply the lack of cure time that makes the others better?

2 EK DCU2 blocks, ek's acetal+nickel cpu block , 240x45  + 360x45 radiators, mcp35x pwm pump+ pump top+ reservoir kit, corsair sp120 quiet editions, bitspower fittings + random tubing + coolant.

Also for custom cables I'd recommend icemodz, really affordable and does great work.

I edited my other post and added a monitor, forgot to do that before.

Some things can be changed around, mainly the headphones + amp+dac.   HD650's are wonderful headphones for the money though, but obviously much cheaper options are out there.

If you buy 2 5.25 to 3.5 drive bay adapters, you could put the HDD's in the optical drive bays, that may be a better idea.  It'd clean up everything.

Hmmm...at least one could go there...however I did want a fan controller so I can can keep an eye on temps in my case....I might have to look into that tho...I think this might be a really good build except for the 2nd hdd has to be bigger (for movies and stuff).

I had a 900D, but it was insanely huge for the parts I had in it. (Custom loop, 2 780's, 3930k, rampage iv extreme) It's really hard & expensive to fill a 900D, due to it's size.

I'm now downgrading my setup+rig tho, got an r4 now.

I wonder how much it would take to fill it and still have a solid system in it?

Edit:

This is going to be sitting on the floor under a 27" high desk....no need to worry about height...

Quite a bit of money in watercooling parts, would probably require two loops, or lots of push/pull radiators.

My 900D always seemed to look real empty despite having two 480mm radiators in it.

Well I suppose this computer wont be build until next year (my fiance's is going to be in November) so I can make the budget what ever I need it to be. Still I don't want a case that looks empty despite it being full which is why I chose the 760T but others say the 750D is better?

keep in mind the 900D is 27 inches tall by itself.

Then I will have a 1/2" to spear :P

Edit:

I meant to say 27 1/2" tall.
