Need Help; Computer Constantly Locking Up

Go to solution Solved by Enderman,

If you mean to close the locked up application, its not just a single window locking up, its everything being locked, like, even my cursor being frozen.

I mean to see what process is using up 100% of your CPU.

Okay so I have an Asus X54H Laptop (horrible specs I know, I cant afford anything better) and a couple of days ago I had to reinstall Windows on this laptop because for whatever reason Windows could not start. So ever since I did this reinstallation of Windows, my laptop has been very frequently locking up for long amounts of time, often times up to 10 minutes at a time. It's quite frustrating and I don't understand what would be causing this considering I have a clean installation of Windows. The only software I've installed is Google Chrome, Steam, Origin, 3DS Max 2015, Razer Synapse, and Libre Office. Can anyone offer suggestions on how to fix this or help diagnose what the problem is?

Good lord I feel like such an idiot now, I looked to see, noticed some instances of chrome.exe eating up a lot of my CPU, determined that some Chrome Extensions were causing the problem, uninstalled those and its all good now. Thanks!
