NETGEAR Router Connection Issue

Okay, so I'm going to make this really quick. My moms 2 laptops are wireless on the 5.0GHz channel (2.4GHz doesn't produce different results) and I'm hardwired on LAN 4 (4th ethernet plug in). What happens is my internet goes out and the globe with something orbiting it icon on the front goes orange. Now, if I just left it like that it would take 15 minutes to come back on. But here's the thing, my moms laptops still have internet when mines out and the icon is orange, and as soon as I load google or something on hers, my internet comes back up and the icon turns green. Its something to do with this router. Should I do a full reset? or does someone know whats going on..?
