Good Morning, Afternoon, Evening or Night you fine ladies and gentlemen,

 

I have recently inherited a workstation/server with dual Xenon 5500, a few gigs of ram and about 6 Cheetah hard drives. 

 

I just want some type of proof of concept, I plan on buying a server motherboard with dual CPU sockets, loading up the computer with roughly 32 GB of ram split into both CPU's and two Radeon HD 6850s one of which is lying around collecting dust inside of a anti-static bag. 

 

My current PC is roughly 5 years old with what was considered the newest processor out on the market, i5 Lynnfield. It has roughly 8 gb of ram and a Radeon HD 6850. 

 

My plan is to migrate my harddrives, blu-ray drive and video card and integrate them into the new system.

Yea pretty much, I just want a proof of concept so that I ensure that I'm not wasting money that I don't have...
