Anyone know about plastic case moding?

Go to solution Solved by tek inpektor,

I used this to make a custom side panel window.

It's pretty thin and can be cut by a razor blade, although I use a special saw.

Hello again, I have just finished my 8 core, GTX 780 build all packed nicely into an NZXT H440. I wanted to add something unique to the case so I had one question. I want to remove the front metal pannel and replace it with a piece of tranparent plastic that curves around the left side (just as the metal panel does). Then I want to put a 1 way dark tint on the plastic so that only light from the inside of the case shines through. Then adhered to the inside of the front pannel I would like to mount my HD LCD screen behind the front panel where I can display custom changing logos on the front of the case. (the whole LCD set up is all ready for plug and play, my only question lies with the front panel). So finally my main question:

~Where can I get a custom fit piece of transparent plastic to replace the front metal pannel?

The plastic doesnt even have to come with tint applied, I can manage that one, but any ideas on where i can find a website that can help me out?

Any sugestions are greatly apreciated! Thank you!

Damn son, you're balling. You might be able to find some at Home Depot. http://www.homedepot.com/b/Building-Materials-Acrylic-Sheets/N-5yc1vZbrdg

I like the color scheme of Noctua fans. Deal with it. Forget about the bad memories of the past.

Forget about the bad memories of the past, take the good ones along with you through the present, and look forwards to the good things that will come in the future.
