BF3 only getting 3fps?

So I tried to play BF3 the other day and I started to only get 2-3 fps, no matter were I am in the game. It only happens w/ BF3 and I have tried a reinstall and repair of the game. I have also tried down stepping my GPU drivers to see if that would help, but it did not. Any ideas? My specs are in my signature.

(I haven't logged in in years, I have to update this)

F@ H is not running. I can literally close BF3, jump into BF4 and be getting 80fps on High.

 

Also, lets put this in perspective. My family PC have a gpu of Intel HD Graphics. It gets 15-20 fps on the same map I was getting 3 or less on.

(I haven't logged in in years, I have to update this)

Reinstall windows, maybe?

No. I have done that to much on this one pc. And I am defiantly not doing it because only one game is not working. This would require me formatting both hard drives and reinstalling everything. BF3 did work but when I tried to play it the next day, this issue happened. Nothing changed on my pc even.

Well to be honest, that seems like your only option, to me at least. You have reinstalled the game and repaired it. If it is the only game that isn't working and a reinstall didn't work, I would think it would be windows doing something. Obviously software related. I just reinstalled windows yesterday. Took like 15 minutes for me. 

 

I would reinstall windows or just leave it if you can't find any thing online about it.

I had that problem. It turned out to be old drivers. Update all your drivers, and AFTER that run windows update. That should fix it

I will try the windows update.

A reinstall for me would take close to a week to finish.

Maybe try turning on Vsync? 

 

I did have some problem before with BF3 and my GTX780 and it get very choppy frame and after vsync is on, everything goes smoothly... Although I hate vsync...
